		<description>Ryan,

Great article and much needed!!!

I’m a long time friend of Adam’s and worked at camp years back. My boys are just old enough to start getting them out into the woods (kindergarten age). So far we have hiked to the pentacle of Pisgah, Graveyard fields, and the likes.

What would be a big BIG help is if you packed a bag for us (i.e. gave us a check list of the things we should have with us for an average day of hiking in the NC mountains) together with a brief description of the item. For example, if item #4 is a warm pull over, what should it be made of (since we are avoiding cotton)?

I firmly believe that just such a list would be a great service to so many parents, who, like me, are just starting to share the woods with their family.

Thanks and I hope that we will meet soon.
